Didi Jeremie now stands as one of Haiti's exceptional Gospel singer songwriters. The quality of his art was first apparent upon the release of his first CD, "M Ap Mache", (I'm Walking). The success of that first effort made him a household name among lovers and supporters of the Haitian Gospel tradition in Boston Massachusetts, where the artist resides. In that album Didi displayed the versatility and diversity which is now the hallmark of his vocal and song-writing talents. His insightful use of words accompanied by an ability to convey and identify with the struggles of Haitians in America has lured the attention of even non-church members.

    Didi's musical influence starts from the roots of Haitian music and spans to the best of American, European and African music. The music, which serves as a backdrop for the artist's message, is spiced with the sound of popular Haitian music as well as the best of current international rhythms. The two albums following Didi's first, "Pou Sa Dire" (So We May Last) and "Kè Kal" (No Worries) revealed the artist growing in faith, expanding his musical tastes and delving further into the marrow of worship and existence.

Didi Jeremie has represented Haitian gospel at notable venues in North America and the Caribbean. He has performed at Boston's historic Fanueil Hall, and annually at the city's equally historic Strand Theatre. His talent has taken him to diverse congregations in New York, Rhode Island, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Canada. In the Caribbean, he has performed in Martinique's Parc des Floralies and in Port-au-Prince's own Rex Theatre and in Tabarre at the Sun Auto Music Festival, also at the request of Haiti’s “Ministère des Cultes” Didi has performed at the National Palace and two months later in June of 2002, at the “Sylvio Cator” Stadium and more than once with renowned Haitian gospel ensemble Alabanza in their annual Christmas concerts; also Gilbert Dabady, Pascale D. Monfort and other great performers. Didi was among the main acts at “Evangel Fest 2004”, a mega Haitian Christian music festival held at the Bayfront Park Amphitheater of Miami, commemorating Haiti’s 200 years of independence.  Until recently, he regularly attended the annual Charismatic Renewal Convention held on the campus of St Louis de Gonzague in Delmas, Port-au-Prince Haiti.

    Jeremie's music videos have received acclaim from Haitians and Haitian-American critics and viewers. Didi, who is as adamant about the quality of his videos as he is about the quality of his music, is breaking new ground for Christian artists by competing on an equal footing with the best of Haitian and Haitian-American commercial music videos for airplay. His videography includes clips for hit songs like "Pou Sa Dire"(1998), "Kenbe Jezi Tight"(1999), "Lavi Se" (2000) “Kreyati Nouvelle” (2001). The latter and his third album “Kè Kal" have both been nominated for best video" and Gospel album of the year by Haiti's Musique en Folie (which in it's own way may be compared to the People's music Award), “Kreyati Nouvelle” also nominated for best Christian video in 2002, “Obsesyon” (2008), “Klete M Anndan W” (filmed in 2003 but released in (2009), “Viktwa Se Pou Ou” and “Mil Fwa Mèsi” also in 2009) and “Viv Anndan m” in 2010. The videos have also enjoyed widespread support from Haitian media in Miami, New York, Boston and Canada.

     With the aid of artist/producers Carly Joseph of Alabanza Music and Pierre Huberson of Axiom Studios, Didi released two albums of exceptional quality respectively in 2001 and 2003 on the market. "Dieu Tu Es Saint" (Lord You Are Holy) and M Ap Priye (I’m Praying). Both albums reveal the artist's latest musical interests and spiritual insights. “Chapelet et Neuvaine à la Miséricorde Divine” (The Divine Mercy Chaplet and Novena) in 2006 and The Very Best of Didi Jeremie Volume One (A two disc compilation with 21 tracks of his greatest hits from 1997-2007) and in August of 2008 “Come As You Are”, his first (Crossover) all english album. His most recent releases are “Chapelet et Neuvaine à Saint Michel Archange et aux Neuf Choeurs des Anges” (The Saint Michael Chaplet and Novena) and “Le Saint Rosaire Médité par Père Gustave Miracle (The Holy Rosary) “ respectively in August of 2010 and July 2011. Didi Jeremie, with his talents and dedication, stands to positively influence and preserve the future of Haitian gospel.

Didi Jérémie, vous devez sûrement le connaître. Il est l'un des chanteurs chrétiens dont les clips ont la plus longue vie sur les écrans des chaines de télé à travers Haiti. En effet, "Pou Sa Dire" ou "Kreyati Nouvelle" passent encore régulièrement sur tous les écrans du pays. Mais Didi a bien d'autres mérites. A part cette présence et en dépit du fait qu'il ait vécu pendant toute sa carrière en dehors du pays, il est aussi l'un des rares chanteurs de la musique chrétienne catholique à avoir réussi à se faire beaucoup de fans à la fois dans sa propre communauté et au sein d'autres congrégations chrétiennes.

Didi Jérémie est l'un des compositeurs des plus inspirés et des plus prolifiques de sa génération dans son milieu. Il doit ses nombreux hits, en majorité, à l'accessibilité de sa musique et à l'originalité de ses textes, avec des slogans inédits, ou des images faciles à être assimilées par le public. Comme le témoignent les textes des chansons “Klete m andan w", "Kenbe Jezi Tight" ou "Tankou enstriman". Didi prend (et gagne) aussi le pari de traiter de sujets tabous ou inexploités dans le milieu, avec la délicatesse appropriée pour son public, comme la beauté de l'autre, ou encore la question du sexe avant le mariage.

Sa musique est simple, fluide, imprégnée des rythmes locaux, avec des influences américaines, européenes et africaines. Dans la diaspora où il s'est établi après ses études secondaires, il continue à répandre son message. Ce qui ne l'empêche pas de performer en Haiti de temps à autre. Au Rex, au Stade Sylvio Cator, au Palais National (2002) ou aux éditions annuelles du congrès charismatique. Il a aussi eu le privillège de représenter le gospel haitien à travers différentes villes de Amérique du Nord, comme (à l’hitorique Faneuil Hall, au Strand Theater à Boston, au Proud2B Catholic 2008 Annual music Festival MA edition, “Evangel Fest 2004” au Bayfront Park Amphitheater de Miami, New York, Rhode Island, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Montréal, Ottawa, et au Parc des Floralies à la Martinique).

Cet ancien de Saint-Louis de Gonzague ne manque pas une bonne occasion de se faire redécouvrir. La carrière de Didi s'étend sur une dizaine d'années et compte un nombre inhabituel d'albums, comparativement à la production de ses confrères chrétiens. Son premier cd, "M ap mache" l'a surtout placé sous les feux des amateurs de musique évangélique à Boston sa ville résidentielle. Ses deux autres albums "Pou Sa Dire" et "Kè Kal" ont révélé le grand artiste avec cette originalité et cette capacité de parler pour les autres qui le caractérisent depuis, aussi fidèlement que ses les verres qu'il porte constamment.
